The destiny of young Indians

This made me pause in my early afternoon routine. Apparently, the suicide rate amongst Native American tribes is 70 times higher than the national average in the United States, the figure is even higher amongst young people.
Only one brief quote from this, which is illustrating the seriousness of this:

""Things go wrong that they can't change," Coloradas said, trying to explain the high rate of suicide in his community. "They don't get shown the love they need. They say, 'You don't love me when I was here. Now you love me when I'm not here.' " (Colaradas Mangas is a 15-year-old high school senior...)
