Barth - slightly naughtier than one would expect...

"It would be well, in view of the “danger” with which the expression (universal salvation) is ever and again seen to be encompassed, to ask for a moment, whether on the whole the “danger” from those theologians who are forever skeptically critical, who are again and again suspiciously questioning, because they are always fundamentally legalistic, and who are therefore in essentials sullen and dismal, is not in the meantime more threatening amongst us than that of an unsuitably cheerful indifferentism or even antinomianism, to which one could in fact yield oneself on one definite understanding of that conception." (Barth, HoG, 64).

So, take heart, all ye "sullen and dismal" theologians - and be a little cheerfully indifferent! ;-)
